Audie Menzi, delivered the first ever goal of an Igorot professional player on the international stage of football.
Prior to joining the fabled Kaya FC-Ilo-ilo in 2016, Audie, one of the athlete-packed- Menzi Brothers, was a stand out varsity player of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraw Men's Football Team who helped in hoarding championship trophies for the University in his high school and college years for the seasons at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
Hails from the strawberry capital of the Philippines, La Trinidad, Benguet, Audie including his older brothers Michael, Nick, and Orlan plays football at very early age, roaming the football grounds of the Benguet State University (BSU) from dawn to dusk. Miko, in short for Michael, is also a pro football player and is recovering from his knee injury for now but soon will be available for the other football teams in the country. Nick was also a student-athlete in football as a tamaraw football player in his stint at FEU. Orlan also played football and baseball at Saint Louis University during his engineering college years.
With Audie's lone goal last June 23, 2021 against Shanghai Port, Kaya advances to the group stages of the 2021 AFC Champions League being held in Thailand.
When interviewed on his message to his fellow Kakailyans, Audie smiled and humbly said, "Naka goal t Igorot!"
