President Ferdinand R. Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos recently celebrated her 65th birthday in Baguio City. True to her preference for privacy, the First Lady chose a quiet family gathering to mark the occasion.
A Quiet Family Celebration
In an interview at MalacaƱan Palace, President Marcos provided details about the birthday celebration. He mentioned that the First Lady prefers a low-key event for her birthdays, stating:
"Si First Lady 'pag birthday niya, nagtatago lagi. Gusto niya tahimik na tahimik lang. Kaya 'yung party niya was last Thursday pa."
He added:
"I came from Baguio. We stayed in Baguio for her birthday. Very quiet, family lang."
The celebration, held a day before her actual birthday, was attended by just their immediate family. The First Lady later shared a photo on social media with the President and a birthday cake from the Philippine Coast Guard.
