The Scout Ranger Alumni Association (SRAA) Kalinga Chapter recently celebrated the graduation of 15 Kalinga warriors from the Scout Ranger Course (SRC) INTREPIDOS Class 222-2023. The ceremony took place on June 13, 2024, at Headquarters FSRR, Camp Pablo Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan, marking a significant achievement for these dedicated individuals and the broader Igorot community.

From a total of 163 candidates, 15 Kalinga warriors successfully completed the demanding eight-month training program. This group includes two Army Officers, one Philippine National Police (PNP) enlisted personnel, and twelve Army enlisted personnel. Their success is a reflection of their exceptional dedication and resilience through the rigorous course.
The Importance of the Scout Ranger Course
The Scout Ranger Course is a cornerstone of military training for both the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP). Known for its intensity, the course is designed to test participants' physical and mental limits, preparing them for high-stress combat scenarios and demanding missions.
An instructor emphasized, "The Scout Ranger Course is not just about physical endurance; it's about mental toughness and the ability to perform under pressure. Our graduates are now among the elite special operations forces, ready to take on critical roles in securing our nation."

The SRAA Kalinga Chapter, along with the entire Igorot community, extended heartfelt congratulations to the new graduates. Recognizing Previous Achievements
The pride of the Igorot community is well-earned, with notable achievements in previous Scout Ranger Course classes. Police Lieutenant John Smith Binwag, an Igorot from Ifugao, topped the elite Philippine Scout Rangers Class 211-2020. Similarly, 2LT Jerson P Balagot, a proud Igorot from Benguet, excelled in the Scout Ranger Course Class 214-2021. These accomplishments highlight the ongoing excellence within the Igorot community and set a high standard for future graduates.
