A Kalinga lad is the leader of the newest all-Filipino P-Pop boy group whose members hail from different parts of the Philippines which will debut this Valentine's day under one of the country's biggest entertainment company.
Brylle Jordan Sebastian Uyam with the stage name Taneo, 20 years old, from Tabuk City, Kalinga, is part of a new sing-rap-dance Pinoy Pop boy group ALAMAT. This boy group is under Viva Artists Agency, one of the Philippines' biggest talent agencies, whose roster of artists include the likes of Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, and The Juans, among others.
The 9-member boy group will release their debut song this Valentine's Day at 5 in the afternoon entitled "kbye" on their official YouTube channel.
The year 2020 and 2021 marked the start of the PPop Rise Movement wherein more and more PPop groups are entering the local music industry. Meanwhile, Alamat, as one of the emerging new generation of Pinoy pop groups, is unique because its members sing and rap in their native languages and showcase their respective cultural backgrounds in their outfits and visuals.
In the group's recently released concept photos, Taneo showcased modern ethnic streetwear that was inspired by the art of Kalinga "batok" and the traditional Kalinga weave design.
The group consists of Taneo, Mo, Tomas, R-ji, Kin, Valfer, Alas, Gami and Jao. Their fandom name is called "Magiliw", their fandom color is brown, and they have a mascot named Aki Alamid, based on musang or Alamid, the Asian palm civet.
While waiting for their debut, you may visit their official social media accounts (ALAMAT) or check singing and dancing skills in their YouTube channel.
