PBGEN RUDOLPH BOTENGAN DIMAS officially assumes the post as the new Regional Director of Police Regional Office 5 during the turn-over ceremony held on August 14, 2022, at the PRO5 Grandstand Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.
PBGEN DIMAS returns to the PRO as its 40th Regional Director to lead the 11,428-strong police force of the unit. He replaced the erstwhile, RD, PBGEN MARIO A REYES who is now designated as the Acting Director for Police Community Relations at the NHQ.
Previously, PBGEN DIMAS served as the Provincial Director of Camarines Norte from November 2015 to October 2017 where he embarked on several projects and programs that translated the unit's mission into action. And on April 28, 2021, he was installed as the PNP-AKG Director.
He is a native of Besao, Mountain Province, and a member of the illustrious PNPA "Tagapagpatupad" Class of 1992.
From his former assignments, he is known to be an interventionist, action-oriented, and adept leader. His subordinates would describe him as a leader who imposes the highest discipline, respect, and professionalism among his people.
"Nurturing attitude" has become one of his priorities that would further foster teamwork and camaraderie within the working environment leading towards the attainment of the organization's transformational agenda.
In his message during the ceremony, he accentuated the fundamental duties of the PNP as embodied in QUAD Concept.
"As simply put by our CPNP, our jobs as law enforcers are to: Prevent crime (Operations), Pre-empt crime (Intelligence), Solve crime (Investigation), and Organize and mobilize the community (PCR). And let us always put to mind and live out his peace and security program, entitled: MKKK - Malasakit + Kaayusan + Kapayapaan = Kaunlaran", he stressed.
He also seeks the strong support of the members of PRO5 as he begins his leadership.
"I will be needing everybody's support and cooperation if we hope to succeed in our endeavors. It is my hope thus that we can work together and do our very best to deliver quality police services to the community", he further said.
Moreover, the said activity was attended by some members of the "Tagapagpatupad" Class of 1992, stakeholders, and other partner agencies.
