A businessman is facing multiple charges after he sexually assaulted a minor in Eagle Crest, Phase 3, Bakakeng Norte, Baguio City.
The businessman was charged with rape and violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
According to the investigation by the authorities, the businessman and the minor victim were under the same roof.
Authorities learned that the businessman persuaded the victim to stay at his home in Bakakeng Norte in Baguio City to study.
As a result, the victim immediately joined and lived on the same roof with the businessman.
Authorities also found out that the businessman had been abusing the minor for over a month.
According to the victim's complaint, the businessman started abusing him from June 8 to August 8 this year.
The victim admitted that he was afraid of the businessman, which is why he did not immediately report the said incident.
