PMGEN Edgar Alan Okubo, a proud Igorot, was appointed as the National Capital Region Police (NCRPO) Director recently.
PMGEN Okubo has to ensure the safety of the 13.4 million individuals living in the National Capital Region.
The Major General is also responsible for ensuring peace and order in Metro Manila where the national government is located in the country.
The Igorot two-star general assured during the turnover ceremony that he will do his utmost to ensure security in his constituency in Metro Manila and continue the initiatives of his predecessor.
PNP Chief PGEN Rodolfo Azurin Jr. also shared his confidence in Major Okubo's capability and leadership skills.
Okubo graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 1992 and became Chief of the Special Action Force now led by another Cordilleran, PBGEN Rudolph Dimas.
