A police trainee died after he had an accident while riding his motorcycle in La Trinidad town, Benguet province yesterday.
The victim was identified as Bobby Tiwan Patao, 24, a native of Lubuagan, Kalinga and police trainee of the Police Regional Office (PRO) - Cordillera stationed in La Trinidad, Benguet.
Based on the police blotter, Patao was on his way home on his motorcycle when the motorcycle slipped on the downhill part of the road he was driving.
As a result, he collided with an iron chicken coop.
Patao was thrown from his motorcycle and rolled on the other side of the road five feet away, whereupon, he lost consciousness due to a wound on the side of his neck.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital but after about seven hours the attending physicist declared him dead.
