Atok, Benguet farmers ready for frost

Atok, Benguet farmers already know how to cope up with the annual frost episode.

ATOK, BENGUET - Frost has already affected some vegetable crops in Benguet as temperature continue to drop.

Atok, Benguet Mayor Raymundo Sarac said, the farmers already knew what they would do to prevent crop damage even if the temperature in the province continue to drop.

According to him, the supply of vegetables coming to their town for sale elsewhere for the holiday season was sufficient.

Not only in Atok, the colder temperatures in Buguias, Mankayan and Kibungan, Benguet are also felt.

According to PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) forecasts, temperatures in Baguio City and Benguet are expected to drop significantly in the latter part of the current year and early next year.
