Mr. Tony Walang

Heads of green ice lettuce donated by Mr Tony Walang from his farm at Pinsao Proper were distributed to Baguio City's relief center, different barangays and skeletal workers in different offices in coordination with the Baguio City Veterinary Office under Dr. Brigit Piok.

A lot more can be harvested and Walang said these will again be donated.

For barangays and other agencies who want to harvest and those who have vehicles you may contact the PIO - Baguio at 09471470048 to link you up with the farmer.

Thank you Mr. Tony and Marlon Walang.

Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet sewers

Responding to the call of the times, Lamberto Curugan and his fellow tailors of LARNS Hill Association of Ampucao, Itogon Benguet felt that their expertise in sewing can be of help to the community by making affordable face masks that can be made available to the local community.

The municipality of Itogon has already placed a bulk order of washable facemasks and according to Curugan, they are capable of producing hundreds in a day.

Jollibee Legarda

The Baguio City Human Resource Management Office, In behalf of the City Government of Baguio, expressed their sincerest gratitude to Jollibee Legarda (c/o Ms. Lorna) for donating packs of food to the police at the Baguio City checkpoints.

Abra LGU

The Local Government of Abra, headed by Gov. Joy Valera Bernos, purchased vegetables from local farmers to be disseminated as relief goods instead of the usual canned goods and noodles.

She said this will benefit the farmers since delivering goods outside of Abra is not possible because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine being implemented.

Free vegetables

Meanwhile, some of our Cordilleran farmers are giving away free vegetables.

Carrots? anyone?

Your Turn

It's true that Cordillerans are good and kind-hearted people. May God bless all of us, especially our front-liners who are at high health risk.

You can be a hero too, stay at home!

Stay at home because that's what heroes do.
