Ramm Marco Paduit, an overseas Filipino worker from Pinukpuk, Kalinga, made history as the first Cordilleran to win the Mister of Filipinas Filipino Community KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) 2023 pageant, which was held on July 14, 2023. He defeated 13 other contestants in the competition, earning him the privilege to represent the Filipino community in Saudi Arabia at the Mister of Filipinas pageant.
What's most remarkable about Ramm's victory is that he won by embracing simplicity. He didn't wear flashy clothes or accessories, nor did he have any professional makeup or hair styling done. Instead, he focused on being himself and letting his natural charisma shine through.
In a Facebook post, The humble Cordillera nurse said that his handler told him not to worry about accessorizing or getting his makeup done. "He hardly retouches my makeup or adjusts my hair after each competition category. Instead, he uses tissue paper to wipe away my sweat," Ramm said.
This simple approach to the pageant paid off. The judges were impressed by Ramm's natural beauty and his down-to-earth personality. They also appreciated his commitment to representing the Filipino community with pride.
Apart from being the grand winner, Ramm was also hailed as Ambassador of Fiestahan, Mr. Personality, Best Dressed in Athletic Wear (Fitness Round), and Best Dressed in Formal Wear.
Ramm's victory is a reminder that you don't need to be flashy or over-the-top to be successful. Sometimes, the simplest approach is the best.
