3 Igorot Wushu Athletes won Medals at 2021 Asian Competition

3 Igorot Wushu athletes won medals for the Philippines at the 2021 Asian Traditional Wushu Online Competition.

3 Igorot Wushu athletes contributed 50% of Team PH medals at the 2021 Asian Traditional Wushu Online Competition.

The Philippine wushu team, which includes 3 members from the Cordilleras, reaped six gold and six silver medals in the recent Asian Traditional Wushu Championships 2021 held online from August 15 to October 4, 2021.

The Cordillerans helped the national team land fourth overall by contributing three (3) gold medals and three (3) silvers for the crew's six (6) gold and six (6) silver medals output.

Thornton Quieney Lou Sayan captured gold medals in Nan Quan and Nan Gun

Igorot Thornton Quieney Lou Sayan captured the gold medals in Nan Quan and Nan Gun. Agatha Chrystenzen Wong equaled Sayan's showing as she pocketed the golds in Yang Shi Taiji Quan and 42 Yang Shi Taiji Jian.

Igorot John Llabre Inso won gold in Taiji Jian and silver in Taiji Quan

Igorot John Llabre Inso, from La Trinidad, Benguet, won gold in Taiji Jian and silver in Taiji Quan. Teammate Dave Degala also duplicated this feat by winning gold in Ju Jie Bian and silver in Si Lu Cha Quan.

Daniel Parantac won silver in the Tai Ji Quan and Taiji Weapon

Completing the medal haul for team Philippines were Mankayan, Benguet pride Daniel Parantac, who finished silver in the Tai Ji Quan and Taiji Weapon, as well as Johnzenth Gajo, who bagged two silvers in the Quan and single weapon events.
