Raymar Galinggan, a math teacher at Tabuk City National High School (TCNHS), has been recognized as an Outstanding Educator of the Philippines for his innovative teaching methods and dedication to his students.
Galinggan has been teaching math for five years, and during that time, he has developed a number of innovative ways to engage his students and help them learn. He has created a financial literacy concept-based learning package for teaching measure of central tendency for grade 7, and he has also presented his research paper at the 2nd Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute Project STAR International Conference.
In addition to his teaching, Galinggan is also a researcher. He has authored and co-authored several internationally published papers, and he ranked 2nd in the National Search for Best Supplemental Learning Materials in Teaching Key Concepts in Mathematics.
