THE IFUGAO WAR DANCE (A homage to his warrior origin)

Boxing's rising prospect CARL JAMMES MARTIN has always made it a point to enter his every battle accompanied by the sound of gongs

In his recent fight as a professional boxer, held in Paranaque (12 March, 2022) Carl Jammes Martin, nicknamed the Wonder Boy, has to rally from an early knockdown to stop Ronnie Baldonado in the 11TH round. His record now stands at 19-WINS, 0-LOSS, with 16 of his wins by stoppage.

With his hands raised in victory, after a back and forth action, , the finality of the fight has definitely informed fight fans who flocked to the Elorde Sports Complex that Martin definitely brought his stamina with him as he was able to outlast his rival. With the euphoria of a non-stop action, sometimes it's easy to forget that he too has brought his native gongs all the way from the mountains of Ifugao.

In the lead up to this bout against a fellow Pinoy pugilist Baldonado, it was announced early March that the undefeated Ifugao native has officially signed with the international boxing promotion Probellum to make his dream of becoming a world champion closer to reality.

The 22-year-old Martin, in joining Probellum expressed his desire to showcase not only his boxing skills but also our local culture on the world stage.
