The PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration) - Baguio, at 6:30 am recorded 10.4 degrees Celsius (°C) as the lowest temperature in Baguio City this year, so far.
It is below 11°C first temperature in Baguio City just before 4:00 am, and 10.4°C at 6:30 am.
The cold weather is expected to last until February.
However, temperatures are recorded below 7-9 ° C in some areas of Benguet, Ifugao, and Mountain Province, due to their higher location.
Low temperatures also cause "and" or frost in crops in the upper Benguet towns especially in Paoay, Atok, and Madaymen, Kibungan.
According to PAGASA records, the lowest temperature in Baguio City was recorded on January 18, 1961, reaching 6.3°C.
