Patrolman Lloyd Depayso Binwag, another Igorot achiever, was recognized for being the class Top 1 and recipient of the Strongest Man Award of the SAF COMMANDO Class 107-108 2019.
The graduation ceremony of the new 226 commandos was graced by Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Debold Sinas last February 5, 2021, who also served as the Guest Speaker.
Patrolman Binwag is a half Tuwali and half Ibaloi from the town of Cabarroguis in the province of Quirino. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology degree from the Quirino State University - Diffun Campus and successfully passed his Criminology Board Exam in 2018.
In the year 2018-2019, he completed his Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) from the Regional Training Center 3 at Magalang Pampanga. After that, he undergoes SAF COMMANDO training due to his passion and commitment to become a full-blooded Special Action Force (SAF) Trooper or "Tagaligtas". SAF is the elite unit of the PNP.
After 1 year and 2 months of intensive Commando training, he graduated and earned a meritorious award for being the Top 1 and "Strongest Man" of his class.
All his hardships have ultimately paid off. Congratulations TAGALIGTAS, the Igorot community is so very proud of you, keep going and keep dreaming. May God bless you more and keep you away from danger. Salute!
