PCOL Tellio C. Ngis-o, a proud Igorot from Besao, Mountain Province, has been promoted to Brigadier General of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Ngis-o was appointed as the Philippine National Police - Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) Deputy Director by Philippine National Police Chief General Debold M. Sinas on January 21, 2021.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte accepted and approved the promotion of PBGEN Ngis-o on March 2, 2021, after the endorsement by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
PNP Chief Sinas administered the Oath-Taking and Donning of Ranks of the newly promoted star rank officers on March 10, 2021, at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
Before becoming a member of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) "TAGAPAGLIKHA" Class of 1991, young Ngis-o spent most of his primary education at Acoje Mines Elementary School in Isabela before transferring to Lucban Elementary School in the city of Pines.
Ngis-o completed his secondary education at Easter School and took up a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Baguio. He then earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Saint Benedict College of Cotabato.
Prior to his appointment to a higher position at the PNP national headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Ngis-o served as the Provincial Director of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office from November 2016 to December 2018, where he became instrumental in making the province drug-free.
During his police career, Ngis-o was awarded "Best Senior Commissioned Officer for Administration for the Year" twice and was also recognized as "Company Commander for the Combat Unit of the Year".
