Maj. Gen. Henry M. Doyaoen is a well-rounded officer with a distinguished career in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). He is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Maringal" Class of 1988 and has held various leadership positions in the PA and AFP, including Deputy Commander of Northern Luzon Command, Commander of the 503rd Infantry Brigade, and Chief of the Morale and Welfare Division of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, AFP.
In his previous role as Vice Commander of the Philippine Army, Maj. Gen. Doyaoen was responsible for assisting the PA Chief of Staff in the overall supervision and administration of the PA. He was also responsible for the planning and execution of PA operations, as well as the development and training of PA personnel.
Maj. Gen. Doyaoen retired from the AFP on May 16, 2022, after over 38 years of service. He is currently enjoying his retirement with his family and traveling the world. He is also continuing to work on projects that promote peace and development in the Philippines.
A career dedicated to peace and development
Maj. Gen. Doyaoen has a long history of service to the AFP and the Filipino people. He has been involved in numerous operations to combat insurgency and terrorism, and he has played a key role in the peace process in the Cordillera region.
In his previous role as Deputy Commander of Northern Luzon Command, Maj. Gen. Doyaoen was instrumental in the dismantling and downgrading of guerilla fronts in the Cordillera region. He also played a key role in the resolution of conflicts between tribal groups in the region.
