The 20-year-old singer, who proudly represents his Igorot heritage, wowed the judges with his naturally country-inspired voice, performing the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) song "Ika'y Mahal Parin."

Belino's Performance Impresses the Judges

Roque Belino's unique voice immediately captured the attention of the judges. James Reid, one of the panelists, praised Belino for his distinct vocal style, which he described as a blend of country and rock. Reid's admiration was clear as he commented:

"I love the color of your voice. It's really cool."

Vice Ganda, another judge on the show, was equally impressed. He noted the flawlessness of Belino's voice, expressing his approval with the simple yet impactful statement:

"Yung boses mo. I don't see anything wrong with your voice."

Regine Velasquez, known as Asia's Songbird, was also charmed by Belino's performance. She appreciated the character in his voice, which added a unique flair to his rendition of the song.

Versatility with a Snippet of "Hallelujah"

In addition to his OPM performance, Belino showcased his versatility by singing a snippet of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" when requested by James Reid. This additional performance further highlighted his vocal range and ability to handle different genres, solidifying the judges' decision.

Moving Forward to Idol City

The unanimous decision from all three judges, James Reid, Vice Ganda, and Regine Velasquez, granted Roque Belino the coveted golden ticket, advancing him to Idol City, the next phase of the competition on Idol Philippines 2019.
