Much more than a pretty face: a loving young queen focuses on charity, giving smiles
It is known that young girls dress themselves in glittered gowns, a typical beauty pageant scene, but the audience does not really see what is behind the glitz and glam. Most don't see the service and charity that they do outside the pageant stage.
Atsha Chloe F. Recile, Little Miss Northern Luzon Culture and Heritage, hosted a beauty pageant charitable activity with a purpose for indigent students studying at Lucban Elementary School last October 10, 2023. The purpose was headed by the teaching staff with the help of Ms. Helen C. Acop- the school principal- through the initiative of teacher Avhie Binay-an Alacyang. The students were given school uniforms in this initiative.
Our young queen said that "she wants to give indigent students an opportunity to feel loved and celebrated,". Also, she said. "I want to treat them nicely as every child should be treated. So I had this gift giving to show my outpouring love and generosity."
Little Miss Northern Luzon organization held this pageant to showcase not only all about glitter and ball gowns but with a purpose to inspire. These young queens who participate should learn various lessons and skills along their journey in the pageant world to the community.
Atsha Chloe's parents, Mr. Darwin Recile and Mrs. Estella Recile said that they can see the positive impact that pageant has had on their daughter's life, so they have been very supportive even during the preparations for pageants as they have seen how Atasha has been taught self-discipline, self-esteem and confidence, and it has given her a purpose. But most of all, they said this pageant has taught her kindness, camaraderie, and the responsibility of community service."
They promised that they would continue supporting this journey since they are all very excited and want to do it as they just love being that way, one person who can smile with this simple act of kindness, and make a difference in a person's life a lot better especially among children.
With the help of the organization, it is assumed that all have a part in creating experiences for these young kids with tears of gratefulness for all who contribute to this noble event in the future. Also, the organization wants to create young pageant queens at a young age to empower underprivileged children through charity."
