Two (2) Engineers along with their Maintenance Crew from Ifugao Second District Engineering Office monitoring the Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao-Mt. Province Road were among the latest victims in a landslide at Sumigar Section, Sitio Nabito, Viewpoint, Banaue, Ifugao on November 12, 2020.

It was reported that DPWH Maintenance Personnel were on their way to conduct an inspection and clearing operations amid the torrential rains and massive destruction brought by Typhoon Ulysses at around 5pm of November 12, when the tragic incident happened.

SAR Team of Ifugao PECU, RECU COR pursued their Search, Rescue and Retrieval Operations along with their Canine specialized in disaster response skill to recover the missing victims of landslide in Sitio Nabitu, Viewpoint, Banaue, Ifugao triggered by typhoon Ulysses. The operation was participated by the personnel of Ifugao PPO, Ifugao PMFC, Banaue MPS, RMFB 15, BFP, PDRMM, Banaue MDRMM, DPWH, 54th IB and volunteers from the community.
