This picture was taken by a lieutenant on April 14, a few days before the battalion's major encounter with the Abu Sayyaf Group in Brgy Latih, Patikul, Sulu which resulted in at least ten dead on the part of the terrorists. There were no fatalities on the part of the 45th IB personnel.
